We’re pleased to announce that XDEFI Wallet has officially entered its closed Public Beta.

A few weeks ago we began a stealth program to shed what we felt had been an aspect of our program not honoring the ethos of the wallet as a whole — collecting emails. After much internal discussion around how we could solve this, the decision was made to transition to a model which would allow users to onboard using an ‘access code.’ By taking this step, we’ve made ourselves publicly searchable in the Chrome/Brave store, albeit only accessible to certain users. Legacy Users

If you are one of our existing users you’ll likely notice you’ve been prompted for your password, and are now seeing your wallet version as 2.9.0. Congratulations on the successful migration and welcome to XDEFI Wallet’s next phase!

If this is not the case can you jump into our telegram and let us know so we can troubleshoot this with you?

It’s still crucial to back up your wallet as a best practice, so please check the article below to take you through the steps to do so.

It’s important to note we’ll be turning off our private version of the Wallet on June 30th so as of then all versions below 2.9.0 will no longer be supported

New Users:

If you have a code in hand, you’ll want to download the 2.9.0 version of the wallet and begin your journey by typing your (case-sensitive) code in the text entry bar. Upon acceptance of your code, you’ll be able to enjoy all XDEFI Wallet has to offer. Please don’t forget to back up your wallet and save your seed phrase soon after deploying your wallet to hedge against any issues.

If you are a new user with no code in hand, you may need to wait a little while. We’re steadily ramping up effort to bring on new testers and to that end, a few of our friends and partners will have codes ready to share as we launch verious campaigns.

Where do we go from here?

This marks an exciting time for XDEFI Wallet. It’s the continuation of a path to rethink the crypto wallet and how it fits into your DeFi journey regardless of what stage of it you find yourself. Our testers can look forward to many new aspects of the product going forward, and users who are looking to test will find more opportunities now that we’ve entered into the public space.
